Not Sure? Ask Away.
It depends on your paint. Our fabric decals are easiest on fresh, clean, non-chalky paint over a proper primer, and come off with gentle heat: warm with a hairdryer and peel slowly, low to the wall. Old, chalky or poorly bonded paint can lift with any adhesive product. That's why every order includes a free test piece — try it on the same wall first. Not for textured walls, raw plaster or chalky surfaces. Renting? Read our renter FAQ.
No. Our decals are hand-painted designs printed on thick matte fabric, not shiny vinyl. There's no sheen, no white border and no plastic look, so the watercolour art reads as paint. Customers tell us their family asks who painted it.

Lift the piece and move it while you're installing — the adhesive lets you reposition during the first placement. If it's been up a while, warm it with a hairdryer first. Step-by-step instructions come with every order, and it's genuinely a no-tools job: clean the wall, peel, place, smooth from the centre out.
Smooth, clean, painted interior walls — ideally primer plus two coats of good acrylic. Not textured walls, brick, render, flaky or chalky paint, humid rooms, or paint less than 4 weeks old. Put them up within 3 months of buying.
Most orders leave our Melbourne warehouse within 48 hours. Standard shipping is $10, free on orders $200+. Australia-wide.
Wall Decals
Wall decals that look painted on, not stuck on
Tiny Walls wall decals start as watercolour paintings by our in-house artist and are printed on a soft matte fabric in our Melbourne studio. Once they're on the wall the usual reaction is "everyone assumes we painted it". There's no painter to book, no wet paint and no mural to wait weeks for: peel, stick, reposition until it looks right, and the room is done in an afternoon.
Shop by room or by theme
Start with the room: nursery wall decals in calm sage, sand and blush palettes, boys' room decals with dinosaurs, trucks and space, or girls' room decals with florals, butterflies and unicorns. Or start with what they love: Australian animals, safari, woodland, ocean, florals and arches. Not sure where to begin? The best sellers are the designs most Australian families choose first.
Fabric, not vinyl
Our decals are printed on a matte polyester fabric with a water-based adhesive, not PVC vinyl. The finish is soft with no sticker shine, which is why they read as painted on and why customers tell us they're "way better than I thought". A painter's quote for one Australian bedroom typically runs A$500–900; a full-room decal set costs less than that, and when your child's taste changes you swap the decals instead of repainting.
Backed by a guarantee
Most orders leave our Melbourne studio within 48 hours, and every order is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.
Why they look painted on
Every design is painted by our in-house artist, then printed on a matte polyester fabric rather than shiny vinyl, so there's no sticker sheen, no white border and no plastic look. Everything is designed and printed in Melbourne, more than 30,000 Australian families have decorated with Tiny Walls since 2019, and shipping is free on orders over $200. Most rooms are finished in an afternoon with no painter, no fumes and no mural to wait on.
Good to know before you stick
Our decals work best on smooth, clean, painted interior walls, ideally a primer plus two coats of acrylic. If the room has just been painted, give it four weeks to cure first. They're not suited to textured walls, flaky or chalky paint, or steamy rooms, and they go up best within three months of arriving. Every decal order includes a free test piece, so try it on the same wall before you commit. When it's time for a change, warm each piece with a hairdryer and peel slowly; how cleanly it comes away depends on your paint, so read the install guide and removal guide first.
