Tiny Walls β€” Terms of Service

ABN: 77 080 845 202 Last updated: April 2026

By placing an order with Tiny Walls, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these terms, and agree to be bound by them.

1. About Us

Tiny Walls is an Australian sole trader operating from Melbourne, Victoria. We design and supply premium wall decals and custom wall products for residential and commercial use.

2. Payment

We accept payment via credit card (through Shopify Payments), PayPal, Afterpay, Zip, and direct bank deposit. Full payment is required before an order is dispatched. By using a buy-now-pay-later service such as Afterpay or Zip, you agree to that provider's terms and conditions in addition to ours. Your obligation to that provider remains in place regardless of any refund or return processed by Tiny Walls.

3. Production & Dispatch Times

All decals are made to order in our Melbourne warehouse. Standard orders typically dispatch within 1–2 business days, excluding public holidays. During peak periods, dispatch times may be extended. Custom-printed products (wallpaper, half wall panels, scallops, and trims) may require additional production time.

For urgent orders, please contact us at hello@tinywalls.com.au before purchasing to confirm availability.

4. Shipping

Within Australia, a flat shipping rate of $10 applies to orders under $150. Free shipping applies to orders of $150 or more. International shipping rates vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. All orders are dispatched from Australia with tracking. For full details, see our Shipping Policy.

5. Duties & Import Fees

For international orders, import duties, VAT, customs fees, and any applicable local taxes are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Tiny Walls has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. If a parcel is returned to us due to unpaid duties or refused customs clearance, a cancellation fee of 100% of the order value applies to cover production and shipping costs.

6. Product Information

Our standard decals are printed on premium polyester fabric with a non-toxic, water-based adhesive. They are designed to be removable and repositionable when applied to suitable, properly prepared surfaces and stored correctly on their original backing sheet.

Custom-printed products β€” including wallpaper, half wall panels, wall scallops, and wall trims β€” are printed to order and cannot be resold. These products are produced specifically for each customer and are not part of our standard resaleable range.

7. Installation & Surface Suitability

Our products are designed for smooth, properly prepared interior walls. Before installing, customers must review our Installation Guide at tinywalls.com.au/pages/decal-install-instructions. Key requirements include:

  • Walls must be painted with two coats of quality acrylic paint over a separate primer
  • Paint must be fully cured for a minimum of four weeks before application β€” even if it feels dry to the touch
  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or surface oils
  • Unsuitable surfaces include textured or raw walls, poorly bonded paint, deteriorating paint layers, and high-performance coatings such as Teflon-based finishes that have not been sanded and primed

Every order includes a wall test swatch. We strongly recommend performing a patch test at least 48 hours before full installation. The test swatch is provided as a practical guide only and does not guarantee outcomes on all surfaces.

Surface preparation, paint condition, and application method remain the customer's responsibility. Tiny Walls is not liable for paint or surface damage resulting from failure to follow the installation instructions, application to unsuitable or improperly prepared surfaces, or use outside the recommended conditions.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Safety Guidelines β€” Nurseries & Children's Areas

Customers installing decals in nurseries or children's sleeping areas must review the Safety Guidelines section of our Installation Guide before applying any product. Key requirements include:

  • Do not install decals directly above a cot, bassinet, or child's bed
  • Decals must be placed out of reach of children when they are in their sleeping area
  • Regularly inspect decals for signs of lifting or peeling β€” a partially detached decal can become a choking hazard

By installing our products in a children's area, you confirm that you have read and will follow these safety guidelines. Our safety guidance is developed in line with recommendations from Red Nose Australia (rednose.org.au) and the ACCC (productsafety.gov.au).

9. Storage, Reuse & Adhesive Performance

For best results, decals should be installed within 3 months of purchase. Improper storage β€” including exposure to heat, humidity, or dust β€” can degrade adhesive performance and cause premature failure.

Store unused decals flat in their original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Tiny Walls cannot guarantee full re-adhesion after a decal has been removed and stored. If a previously used decal is reinstalled, inspect it carefully to confirm it is fully secured β€” particularly in any children's area.

10. Removal

To remove decals safely and minimise the risk of surface damage:

  • Use a hairdryer on low heat to warm the decal for 30–60 seconds before peeling
  • Peel slowly from a corner at a low angle, almost parallel to the wall
  • Reapply heat as needed

Failure to use the recommended removal method may result in paint damage. Tiny Walls is not liable for surface damage caused by incorrect removal technique.

11. Australian Consumer Law β€” Your Rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Returns, Refunds & the 30-Day Guarantee

Standard Decals β€” 30-Day Money Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee on our standard decal range. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

Change of mind returns:

  • The product must be unused and in its original, resaleable condition, with all sheets remaining on their backing
  • Return shipping is at the customer's expense
  • Once we receive and inspect the returned product, a full refund of the product price will be issued via your original payment method
  • Refunds to Afterpay or Zip accounts are processed directly through those platforms β€” your repayment obligations to your BNPL provider remain in place and are governed by your agreement with them

Genuine product faults: If a decal has a confirmed manufacturing defect β€” including adhesive failure attributable to a faulty product batch rather than surface or application conditions β€” we will offer a full refund, replacement, or store credit at your choice. Please contact us within 30 days of delivery with photos and a description of the issue.

Please note: adhesive performance can be affected by surfaces that have not been properly prepared, paint that has not fully cured, or paint that has off-gassed incompletely after application. These are surface and preparation conditions outside our control and are the customer's responsibility. Refunds are not available where adhesive failure is caused by improper surface preparation, failure to cure paint for the required period, or failure to follow the installation instructions.

Surface damage: Tiny Walls does not offer refunds for paint or surface damage resulting from incorrect surface preparation, failure to perform a patch test, failure to follow the installation guide, or removal without using the recommended heat method.

Custom-Printed Products

Wallpaper, half wall panels, wall scallops, and wall trims are printed to order and are non-refundable for change of mind. These products cannot be resold and are produced specifically for each order. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law for faulty or misdescribed goods are not affected.

Other Non-Returnable Items

Samples, clearance items, and gift cards are non-returnable and non-refundable.

13. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or materially different from what was ordered, please contact us at hello@tinywalls.com.au within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos. We will assess the issue and provide a remedy in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law β€” being a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the nature and severity of the problem.

This 14-day notification window is an administrative requirement to help us resolve issues promptly. It does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law for latent defects or problems that become apparent after this period.

14. Sales & Promotions

Only one discount code may be used per order. Promotions and offers may be changed or withdrawn without notice. Promotional pricing does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Customer Content

By submitting photos, videos, reviews, or other content to Tiny Walls, you grant us a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and display that content for marketing and promotional purposes across any medium. You confirm that you own the rights to the content and have obtained permission from any individuals featured, including the right to share images of children.

To withdraw your consent and request removal of your content, email hello@tinywalls.com.au. Removal requests will be actioned within a reasonable timeframe, noting that content already in circulation (such as printed materials) may not be immediately retrievable.

All product designs, artwork, images, text, and website content are the property of Tiny Walls. They may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, or used for any commercial purpose without prior written permission. Unauthorised use may constitute an infringement of copyright and other intellectual property rights.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tiny Walls' liability for any claim arising from a product or order is limited to the purchase price of that product. Tiny Walls is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage, including loss of income or property damage, except where such loss arises from a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law.

Tiny Walls is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to carrier delays, natural disasters, or supply disruptions.

18. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us in the first instance at hello@tinywalls.com.au. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly. If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may contact Consumer Affairs Victoria or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for further assistance.

19. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our products will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
