Every Tiny Walls order includes an Exclusive Welcome Kit with a wall test sample and full installation guides. This allows you to test adhesion and paint suitability before installing. We want you to feel confident before committing to your wall.

Your Test Sample

Every order includes a test sample so you can check adhesion, paint condition, and colour in your own space.

Apply the sample to the exact wall where your decals will go. Leave it for 24 to 48 hours. Remove it using gentle heat and a slow peel at a low angle, keeping it flat against the wall.

If it applies and removes cleanly, you are ready to install.

If bubbling or paint lifting occurs, your wall may require further preparation. Fresh paint, old or poorly bonded paint, textured surfaces, or lack of proper primer can all affect performance.

Your Rights Under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.

30 Day Money Back Guarantee

We offer a 30 day money back guarantee on our standard decal range. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it within 30 days of delivery, provided the product is unused, unopened, and all sheets remain on their original backing in resaleable condition.

Wallpaper, half wall panels, wall scallops, and wall trims are custom printed to order and are not eligible for change of mind returns. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law for faulty or misdescribed goods are not affected.

Return shipping is at the customer's expense. Original shipping costs incurred by Tiny Walls will be deducted from approved refunds.

Sale Periods

Purchases made during our Black Friday sale in November, EOFY sale in June, and Birthday Sale in March are not eligible for change of mind returns or exchanges. This applies to all orders placed during those events, including those using discount codes.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply at all times, including during sale periods. If a product purchased during a sale is faulty, misdescribed, or fails to meet consumer guarantees, we will provide an appropriate remedy.

Orders placed outside these sale periods using discount codes remain eligible for our standard 30 day change of mind policy.

Bundles and Discounts

If part of a bundle or multi-buy is returned, discounts will be recalculated based on what is kept. Any items you retain will revert to their full RRP and the refund will be adjusted accordingly.

Exchanges

Returns can be lodged through our returns portal. Replacement items are shipped once the return has been received and inspected.

Wall and Paint Responsibility

Our decals and wallpaper are designed for smooth, properly prepared walls.

Damage can occur if paint is less than 30 days old, not properly primed, old or flaking, poorly bonded, textured, or exposed to high humidity. Damage can also occur if decals are removed without first warming the adhesive.

Because wall condition and paint preparation are outside our control, Tiny Walls cannot offer refunds or replacements for wall or paint damage resulting from unsuitable or improperly prepared surfaces, or failure to follow the installation instructions. These are not product faults.

This is why we provide a free test sample and detailed installation guide with every order.

Adhesive and Repositioning

Decals can be repositioned during initial installation. Adhesive performance is best when decals are installed within a reasonable timeframe after purchase.

Repeated removal, extended storage, heat exposure, humidity, or application to unsuitable surfaces can affect adhesive performance over time. We recommend installing within 3 months of purchase and storing flat in a cool, dry place in original packaging.

We cannot guarantee full re-adhesion after a decal has been removed and stored. If a previously used decal is reinstalled, inspect it carefully to confirm it is fully secured, particularly in any children's area.

Reporting Issues

Due to the number of variables involved in installation and environmental conditions, we ask that any issues be reported within 60 days of purchase. Reporting within this window helps us assess the issue accurately and resolve it efficiently.

Please note this is an administrative preference to help us help you promptly. It does not limit any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law for issues that become apparent after this period.

If Something Is Incorrect

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If items arrive damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us within 14 days with photos and your order number. Once approved, we will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Genuine Product Faults

If a decal has a confirmed manufacturing defect, including adhesive failure attributable to a faulty product batch rather than surface or application conditions, we will offer a full refund, replacement, or store credit at your choice.

Adhesive performance can be affected by surfaces that have not been properly prepared, paint that has not fully cured, or paint that has not completed off-gassing after application. These are surface and preparation conditions outside our control and are the customer's responsibility. They are not considered product faults.

Non-Returnable Items

Test samples, custom or personalised items, clearance items, and gift cards are not returnable.

Order Cancellations

If you change your mind before your order has been dispatched, contact us immediately at hello@tinywalls.com.au. If your order has already been dispatched, return shipping will be at your cost.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days after the returned item has been received and inspected. Refunds to Afterpay or Zip are processed back through those platforms. Your repayment obligations to your buy now pay later provider remain in place and are governed by your agreement with them.

Free Shipping Threshold

Orders over $150 qualify for free shipping. If a return reduces your kept order total below $150, a $10 flat rate shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. If your entire order is returned, the actual shipping cost incurred by Tiny Walls, typically $15, will be deducted.

Safety Guidelines for Nurseries and Children's Areas

If you are installing decals in a nursery or children's sleeping area, please read the Safety Guidelines section of our Installation Guide before applying any product. Do not install decals directly above a cot, bassinet, or child's bed. Decals must be placed out of reach of children when they are in their sleeping area. Ventilate the room for at least 24 to 48 hours after installation before allowing a baby or child to sleep in the space. Regularly inspect decals for signs of lifting or peeling, as a partially detached decal can become a choking hazard.

Our safety guidance is developed in line with recommendations from Red Nose Australia at rednose.org.au and the ACCC at productsafety.gov.au.
