- 1 Stick the test pieceSame wall, somewhere out of sight — behind a door, low in a corner.
- 2 Leave it two daysThen warm it with a hairdryer and peel slowly. That's exactly how your paint will behave.
- 3 Then decideHappy? Put the real ones up. Not sure? Send them back unopened — the test piece is yours to keep.
Not for unprimed or textured walls, raw plaster, or chalky, powdery or flaking paint. Put them up within 3 months of buying. When in doubt, test first.

It depends on your paint. Our fabric decals are easiest on fresh, clean, non-chalky paint over a proper primer, and come off with gentle heat: warm with a hairdryer and peel slowly, low to the wall. Old, chalky or poorly bonded paint can lift with any adhesive product. That's why every order includes a free test piece — try it on the same wall first. No. Our decals are hand-painted designs printed on thick matte fabric, not shiny vinyl. There's no sheen, no white border and no plastic look, so the watercolour art reads as paint. Customers tell us their family asks who painted it.

Lift the piece and move it while you're installing — the adhesive lets you reposition during the first placement. If it's been up a while, warm it with a hairdryer first. Step-by-step instructions come with every order, and it's genuinely a no-tools job: clean the wall, peel, place, smooth from the centre out.
Smooth, clean, painted interior walls — ideally primer plus two coats of good acrylic. Not textured walls, brick, render, flaky or chalky paint, humid rooms, or paint less than 4 weeks old. Put them up within 3 months of buying.
