Painted first
Every design starts as a watercolour painted by hand by our in-house artist. We print it ourselves on thick matte fabric in Melbourne, so there's no shine and no white border. Every design is our own. If you see one of our designs for a few dollars on a marketplace, it isn't ours.

They are beautiful and quality just as pictured. As easy to put on as said. I was relieved that they were worth the expense and easy to put on as we were doing it as a surprise the night before my child's birthday! They absolutely love them. Few intricate bits were a little tricky to manage but got there.

Up in an afternoon
No painter. No mural. No fumes in the room.
Clean, dry and dust-free. Best on fresh, smooth, well-primed paint.
Peel slowly from one corner and press it on. Lift and move it until it sits right.
Smooth it flat with your hand, then step back and watch their face when they walk in.
The details
Hand-painted fabric wall decals of an underwater kingdom: mermaids riding seahorses, a mermaid with flowing blue hair, a beluga whale, an aqua castle with pink turrets, scallop shells and bubbles. Our in-house artist painted them in watercolour, and we print them on matte fabric in Melbourne, so on the wall they look painted on.
Which size? Pick by how much of the room you want to fill: one corner, or one wall.
Small Set: one corner
A small underwater scene above a dresser or reading nook. Everything is smaller than in the Medium Set.
Medium Set: one wall
A bigger castle and whale that make one wall the centrepiece of the room, like a painted mural. It has the same characters as the Small Set, plus 2 extra smaller shells and more bubbles.
All sizes are width × height.
A note on your paint: Wash & Wear and other low-VOC paints, and walls painted without a separate primer, carry a higher risk of paint chipping. All paint wears with age. The test piece in your order shows you how your wall behaves. It's a guide, not a guarantee.
Questions
No. Every Tiny Walls design starts as a watercolour painted by our in-house artist, and we print it ourselves on thick matte fabric in Melbourne. Copies are usually glossy vinyl printed from a photo of our art, shipped from overseas. If you find one of our designs much cheaper on a marketplace, it isn't ours.
Check the size above and the “How big is it?” photo in the gallery, which shows it to scale on a real wall. Between sizes? Size up: decals read smaller on a wall than you expect.

Not sure about your paint?
Every order comes with a test piece. Stick it somewhere out of sight, leave it two days, then warm it with a hair dryer and peel slowly. You'll know how your wall behaves before the full set goes up.
Not for unprimed or textured walls, raw plaster, or chalky, powdery or flaking paint. When in doubt, test first.
