About the design
About the design
A hand-painted fabric wall decal of a calm oak tree with a full, leafy green canopy. Our in-house artist painted it, and we print it on matte fabric in Melbourne, so on the wall it looks painted on.
Which size?
- Large, 1.8m tall with a 1.5m canopy: reaches from the skirting board most of the way up a standard 2.4m wall, with the canopy spreading wide over a reading chair or play corner.
- Medium, 1.5m tall with a 1.3m canopy: reaches more than halfway up a standard 2.4m wall, for a tree that fits beside furniture or in a smaller space.
What's in the pack
Both sizes come on two sheets of matte fabric as 7 pieces, labelled A to G, that overlap by about 1cm and join into one tree. Sizes are width × height.
- Large (two 64 × 200cm sheets, about 154 × 180cm on the wall): A trunk 64 × 83cm, B root 10 × 21cm, C top of the canopy 64 × 98cm, D left canopy 51 × 95cm, E lower left canopy 49 × 22cm, F right canopy 41 × 82cm, G lower right canopy 33 × 24cm.
- Medium (two 64 × 160cm sheets, about 130 × 152cm on the wall): A trunk 54 × 70cm, B root 8 × 17cm, C top of the canopy 54 × 83cm, D left canopy 43 × 80cm, E lower left canopy 19 × 42cm, F right canopy 34 × 69cm, G lower right canopy 28 × 21cm.
A small guide on the sheet shows where each piece goes. The birds, animals and fairies in our customer photos are separate decals.

Walls, paint & removal
- Best on smooth, clean interior walls with fresh, well-primed paint
- Just painted? Wait around 30 days for the paint to cure first
- Not for textured, flaky, chalky or unprimed walls, brick, render, outdoors or steamy rooms
- Put them up within 3 months of buying. Decals are best fresh, not stored
- Taking them down: warm with a hair dryer, then peel slowly, down along the wall
- How removal goes depends on your paint. Try the test piece first
A note on your paint: Wash & Wear and other low-VOC paints, and walls painted without a separate primer, carry a higher risk of paint chipping. All paint wears with age. The test piece in your order shows you how your wall behaves. It's a guide, not a guarantee.

Is this the same as the cheaper ones online?
No. Every Tiny Walls design starts as a watercolour painted by our in-house artist, and we print it ourselves on thick matte fabric in Melbourne. Copies are usually glossy vinyl printed from a photo of our art, shipped from overseas. If you find one of our designs much cheaper on a marketplace, it isn't ours.
Will it fit my wall?
Check the size above and the “How big is it?” photo in the gallery, which shows it to scale on a real wall. Between sizes? Size up: decals read smaller on a wall than you expect.
