Wallpaper Removal Guide

Our peel-and-stick wallpaper is designed to be removed without leaving a mess behind. This guide will help lessen the chance of damage to your paint. Using gentle heat will soften the material and make removal easier.

What You’ll Need

✅ Hairdryer or heat gun (set to low/medium)
✅ Soft microfiber cloth
✅ Plastic squeegee or credit card wrapped in a cloth
✅ Warm soapy water or a gentle cleaner (if needed)

Step-by-Step Removal Guide

Step 1: Warm Up the Wallpaper
Plug in your hairdryer and set it to a low to medium heat. Hold the dryer 10-15 cm away from the top edge of the wallpaper. Slowly move the heat across a small section for about 30 seconds to 1 minute to soften the material. Continue this process along the first panel before you start peeling.

Step 2: Start Peeling – Go Slow
Begin at the top corner of the first panel and gently lift the edge using your fingertips or a soft tool. Peel slowly and evenly, keeping the wallpaper as close to the wall as possible while pulling. Avoid pulling at a sharp angle. Instead, pull back at a low angle to reduce strain on the paint.

Step 3: Keep Heating as You Go
Work in small sections, applying heat as you peel to prevent resistance. If the wallpaper starts to pull too much or you feel tension, pause and reheat the area before continuing. For large panels, remove them in sections rather than pulling the entire piece off at once.

Step 4: Clean the Surface
If any residue remains after removal, wipe the wall with a damp microfiber cloth and warm soapy water. Avoid scrubbing too hard. If needed, use a gentle cleaner suitable for painted surfaces. Dry the area with a clean cloth.

Tips for a Smooth Removal

✔ Never rush the process—peeling too fast may cause paint to lift
✔ If your walls were freshly painted before applying wallpaper, removal may take more time
✔ If you plan to store the wallpaper for future use, reapply it to the original backing paper
