A hand-painted fabric wall decal set of swaying seagrass with spotted fish and golden seahorses drifting between the tufts, for an under the sea nursery or kids' room. Watercolour, hand-painted by our in-house artist, and printed on matte fabric in Melbourne, so on the wall it looks painted on.

Which size? Both sets have the same 9 pieces: 4 seagrass tufts, 3 fish and 2 seahorses. Pick by how much wall you want the scene to fill:

  • Medium Set: hung as in our size photos, the scene covers about 84cm wide × 42cm tall, sweet above a chest of drawers, bookshelf or desk, or in a reading nook.
    • 4 seagrass tufts, 17 × 26cm, 20 × 33cm, 23 × 33cm and 18 × 28cm
    • 3 fish, 19 × 8cm each
    • 2 seahorses, 10 × 23cm each

Facing left or right? Facing right, the fish swim to the right and the seahorses look back to the left. Facing left is the same set mirrored. Choose the direction so the fish swim into the room.

It depends on your paint. Our fabric decals are easiest on fresh, clean, non-chalky paint over a proper primer. Old, flaky or chalky paint can lift when any decal comes off. That's why every order includes a test piece: stick it somewhere out of sight, wait two days, then warm it with a hair dryer and peel slowly. Not for textured walls, raw plaster or chalky surfaces.
No. That's the difference between fabric and vinyl. Our thick matte fabric has no sheen, no white border and no plastic look, so the watercolour art reads as paint. Customers tell us family ask if the walls were hand painted.
No problem. Fabric is more forgiving than vinyl. Lift the piece and move it while you install. If it has been up for a while, warm it with a hair dryer first. Big pieces are easier with two people.
Fabric decals sit flat on the wall, with no raised border for little fingers to catch. Most parents place them higher up, out of reach.
The matte fabric holds the colour of the original watercolour artwork well. Screens vary, so if you're matching a colour scheme, email us a photo of your room and we'll help.
