Product Care
Product Care
Are the decals washable?
Yes — they’re water-resistant and can be gently wiped with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or soaking them, as this may damage the adhesive or artwork.
Can I use decals in bathrooms or humid areas?
We don’t recommend applying decals in high-humidity environments like bathrooms or laundries. Excess moisture can reduce how well the decals adhere over time.
How long do they last?
With proper surface preparation and care, our decals are made to last for years on smooth, well-maintained walls.
Installation Help
Installation Help
What surfaces do decals stick best to?
Smooth, clean, painted walls are ideal. Avoid applying to textured surfaces, flaky paint, dusty walls, or freshly painted surfaces.
What if my wall was recently painted?
You’ll need to wait at least 4 weeks after painting before applying decals. This allows the paint to fully cure and helps prevent bubbling or peeling.
How do I apply them?
Peel the decal carefully from the sheet, position it on your wall, and smooth it down using your hand or a microfiber-wrapped card. Use firm, even pressure — the adhesive is pressure-activated.
Can I reposition the decals during installation?
Yes — they’re repositionable while you apply them. Just be sure the wall and your hands are clean before reapplying.
Should I keep the backing paper?
If you plan to move or store the decals later, it’s a good idea to keep the original backing sheet. You can also use a corflute sheet from your local hardaware to store your decals.

Removal Tips
Removal Tips
How do I remove decals without damaging the wall?
Use a hairdryer on low to medium heat and warm the edge of the decal for about 30–60 seconds. Peel slowly from a corner, keeping the decal close to the wall at a low angle. Don’t yank or pull it straight out.
What if the decal isn’t coming off easily?
Pause and reheat the section before continuing. Large decals should be removed in sections.
Will removing the decal damage my wall?
Our decals are designed to be removable, but we can’t guarantee damage-free removal in every case. Wall condition and paint quality play a big role. Always test a small area first, especially on delicate or recently painted walls.

Safety & Materials
Safety & Materials
Are Tiny Walls decals safe for babies and children?
Yes — absolutely. Our decals are made from premium polyester fabric with a gentle, water-based adhesive. They’re non-toxic, odour-free, and 100% safe for nurseries, bedrooms, and play spaces.
We never use vinyl (PVC), which is commonly found in cheaper wall stickers and can release chemicals — especially in small or poorly ventilated rooms where children sleep or play.
What’s wrong with PVC wall decals?
Many low-cost decals sold on platforms like Temu or Shein are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) — a plastic material that may contain:
- Phthalates (linked to hormone disruption)
- VOCs (volatile organic compounds) (linked to respiratory and developmental issues)
- Other chemical additives flagged by global safety experts
Studies, including from the Australian National University, highlight concerns around soft PVC products contributing to poor indoor air quality — particularly in children’s spaces.
Why we choose fabric, not plastic:
Tiny Walls decals are made from polyester fabric, not PVC plastic — which means they’re:
- Free from phthalates, VOCs, and harsh chemicals
- Safe for babies and kids
- Matte, hand-painted in appearance, and look like artwork on the wall
- Removable, reusable, and gentle on surfaces
The difference isn’t just in how they look — it’s in how they’re made.
Safe materials = peace of mind. 💚
Wallpaper FAQs
Wallpaper FAQs
Have you discontinued your wallpaper?
Yes, we’ve officially discontinued our wallpaper range to focus entirely on our premium wall decals.
Can I still place a wallpaper order?
If you’ve previously purchased a wallpaper sample, you can still place a full wallpaper order — but only until May 30th. After this date, we will no longer be printing wallpaper.
What happens if I miss the May 30 2025 deadline?
After May 30, we won’t be offering wallpaper orders. We encourage you to explore our growing range of removable wall decals, which are easy to install, rental-friendly, and available in a wide range of designs.
Why the change?
Our wall decals have become our most popular product, and we want to focus on delivering the best possible designs, quality, and customer experience. This decision allows us to keep improving and expanding the decal range.
